How To Use Activepieces MCP Server

Prerequisites

• Activepieces account: Sign up for free
• Node.js  installed on your system
• Claude Desktop , Cursor, or another MCP-compatible host application
• Activepieces MCP server url (You can get that from your Activepieces dashboard > MCP > Client set up instructions > Server/Other

Step 1: Configure the MCP Server

For Claude

• Go to Activepieces > MCP > Client Setup Instructions
• Open the Claude desktop
• Open Settings: Click the menu and select Settings > Developer
• Configure MCP Server: Click Edit Config and paste the configuration below
• Save and Restart: Save the config and restart Claude Desktop

For Cursor:

• Open Cursor → Settings → Features → MCP
• Click “+ Add New Global MCP Server”
• Add server configuration
• Restart Cursor

For Winsurf

1. Open setting: Use either method:
   • Go to Windsurf > Settings > Advanced Settings
   • Open Command Palette and select the Windsurf Setting Page
2. Navigate to Cascade: Select Cascade in the sidebar
3. Add server: Click Add Server > Add custom server +
4. Paste the configuration below and save

Step 2: Connect your tools

• Login your Activepieces account
• Go to MCP > My Tools > Add Piece
• Select any app you would like to connect to the MCP server
• You would be prompted to provide necessary details to authorize the connection

To connect multi-app workflows

• Go to MCP > My Tools > Create flow (where you connect multiple tools to automate tasks)
• Any flow created automatically appears as a tool on the Activepieces MCP server

Step 3: Test Your Integration

Try a sample query like:

"Get me a list of all tasks due on Notion today"

PS: Your apps must be connected before you can trigger them from the MCP client
