Freqtrade Test Repository

This repository contains a simple RSI-based trading strategy for the Freqtrade cryptocurrency trading bot.

Strategy Overview

The SimpleRSIStrategy uses the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicator to generate trade signals:

• Buy Signal: When RSI drops below 30 (oversold condition)
• Sell Signal: When RSI rises above 70 (overbought condition)

Installation

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/GlennCoCo97/freqtrade-test-repo.git
cd freqtrade-test-repo

2. Install Freqtrade:

# With Docker
docker-compose pull
docker-compose run --rm freqtrade create-userdir --userdir user_data

# Or manually
git clone https://github.com/freqtrade/freqtrade.git
cd freqtrade
./setup.sh -i

Usage

Backtesting

To backtest the strategy:

freqtrade backtesting --config user_data/config.json --strategy SimpleRSIStrategy --timerange 20210101-20210201

Hyperopt

To optimize the strategy parameters:

freqtrade hyperopt --config user_data/config.json --strategy SimpleRSIStrategy --hyperopt-loss SharpeHyperOptLoss --epochs 100 --spaces all

Trading

To run the bot with this strategy:

freqtrade trade --config user_data/config.json --strategy SimpleRSIStrategy
